Ski & Family Hostel - The somewhat different family hotel
The Family Hostel also takes place in winter! (it is then a little colder)

The idea came about when we spent a few vacation days together with friends and their families at our group home (Relais de Dranse in Liddes). The children's eyes sparkled and Marin appealed to his mother, "Mom, I really want to come back here soon".

The moms and dads were also extremely relaxed, as the small crowd of children had entertained themselves very well.

In the Family Hostel you meet other families with or without children. Together we go on excursions, play games and cook delicious meals.

You will meet familiar and new faces.
You don't have to do anything and you can do a lot! Improvise, experience. Celebrate, dance and freeze! Life is long enough to do something else.

We organize the Family hostel in the St.Bernhard region and in Braunwald in the beautiful Glarnerland.

Once the little ones are in bed, there are many possibilities :

In Braunwald there is also a self-cooking kitchen. The village store is located right next to the hotel.

If someone wants to take their work with them or the mommy / daddy can just take a little vacation, there is also the possibility to set up a workstation. The internet is highspeed in any case! But beware: children's screams! Do not forget headphones!
Childcare
The parents can share the tasks: so the mommy or daddy can also do something else: Ski touring, snowboarding, dancing, ...

Winter enchants our valley into a white adventure land.

With the very cheap ski pass and its 3 ski areas (from 70 francs for the whole season - Pass St. Bernhard) and countless other winter activities, you will have a great time with us.

The beginner lift is within walking distance from the Hostel Petit Velan (9 Fr. / day).

We organize a shuttle service to the other ski areas.

LE CHABLE (VALLEY STATION VERBIER) IS 20 MINUTES AWAY FROM US BY CAR
So, how was it?
  • Never thought family vacations could be so relaxing! The kids totally well-behaved after experiencing so much all day. The husband satisfied and challenged (he won at the chess tournament). There is no price for that. Not even available at the Palace in St. Moritz!

  • The Family hostel Liddes gave me the great opportunity to spend a few carefree days with children and grandchildren. During the day each family made its own program and in the evening there were many opportunities for young and old to entertain themselves with billiards, table tennis, movies or table games and conversations. The dinner was also delicious and the New Year's celebration was celebrated with raclette, a big bonfire in the snow and champagne. The colorful life in the camp with the friendly interaction of all present was well suited to our extended family and we will gladly come again.
